Wedelia thrives in Houston, although it will occasionally die back with frosts only to return. It can crowd out other species and is invasive. Alternatively it survives high heat and seaside conditions, terrible soils and undesirable areas. It can also thrive as a ground cover in consistently wet areas, think bioswales, where other plants would die.
